Missouri YMCA Youth and Government (MOYAG) is a 3-day experiential learning program in which students serve as part of a model state government. MOYAG offers students the opportunity to learn about a wide variety of issues, develop critical thinking skills, and articulate their beliefs while engaging constructively with their peers from around Missouri.
High school students attending the State Convention of Missouri YMCA Youth and Government can choose between 5 program areas: Legislative, Judicial, Executive, Print Press, or Video News. Students in 8th grade participate in the Civic Leadership Institute. All conference programming sessions take place at the Capitol Plaza Hotel and the Missouri State Capitol Building in Jefferson City.
